Position Overview:
An exceptional opportunity is available within the Waste and Resources Division for a skilled Administrative Support Specialist to fill a maternity leave vacancy.
This role is dynamic and multifaceted, contributing to a proactive team responsible for overseeing waste management contracts for Greater Manchester. Our division manages approximately 4% of the UK's municipal waste, equating to around 1.1 million tonnes of waste and recycling annually from over a million households across various metropolitan districts.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in achieving the objectives of the Administrative Support Team by delivering a high-quality support service that is customer-oriented, adaptable, timely, and confidential.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills and uphold high professional standards to ensure the effective delivery of services. A minimum of A-C GCSE grades in Maths and English or equivalent qualifications is required.
Strong communication skills, excellent customer service abilities, a quick learning aptitude, and a proactive attitude are essential. Proficiency in IT, including all Microsoft Applications, Office 365, and ideally Adobe or Nitro Pro, is necessary, along with experience in taking meeting minutes and action plans. The ability to work independently and flexibly is also crucial.
