- Proven ability to foster effective relationships and manage customer interactions.
- Capable of thriving in both team settings and independently under pressure, utilizing initiative.
- Experience in handling basic personnel matters, such as holiday requests and PPE distribution.
- Awareness of Health & Safety protocols is crucial.
- Previous experience in a relevant office setting, such as Waste Management, Recycling, or Logistics, is preferred, along with a practical approach.
Responsibilities of the Transport Operations and Weighbridge Coordinator:
- Respond to telephone and visitor inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
- Relay pertinent inquiries and information to the Sales team, coordinating efforts to execute jobs as they become active.
- Process orders from both new and existing clients for container rental services and waste collection.
- Input these orders into our IT system (SAP), coordinating with drivers and vehicle types, while overseeing the dispatch of roll-on-roll-off and articulated vehicles.
- Familiarity with the South of England is advantageous.
- Maintain precise records with a keen eye for detail.
- Work closely with the General Manager and Yard Supervisor to arrange outgoing loads and third-party transportation.
- Gather and report information regarding any breakdowns, accidents, or incidents from drivers to the General Manager.
- This role is customer-facing and requires exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work autonomously. Responsibilities include weighing various vehicle types entering and exiting the site, managing diverse waste types, and ensuring accurate data entry. Financial transactions will also be processed using our IT system (SAP).
Position: Transport Operations and Weighbridge Coordinator
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum, based on experience
Work Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday (7:00am - 5:00pm - 45 hours per week), with some flexibility and occasional weekend work required.
