We are excited to present a unique opportunity for a Project Technician - Electric Vehicle Infrastructure within the Highway Network and Digital Innovation division. This role is based at County Hall in Norwich, offering a hybrid working model, and focuses on providing essential technical support to the EV Infrastructure team.

The transition to electric vehicles (EVs) is crucial for mitigating climate change and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, particularly as the transport sector contributes significantly to the UK's overall emissions.

In this position, you will assist in planning, researching, and gathering information to facilitate the implementation of EV charging stations. The role requires regular communication with a diverse array of stakeholders, including local councils and private landowners. Engaging with the community and contractors will be a vital aspect of your responsibilities, which will also involve conducting site visits throughout the region to perform site assessments.

The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills and exceptional communication abilities. You will be encouraged to utilize your initiative to explore innovative ideas and identify potential solutions to meet objectives across various projects.
