Job Opportunity: Maintenance Technician

PE Global is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our industrial manufacturing client in Peterborough. This is a 12-month contract opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to facility breakdowns and conduct repairs using fault finding techniques.
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and installation of new equipment.
  • Follow standard work procedures and use hand power tools and lifting equipment provided.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team, including peers, engineers, and external contractors.
  • Conduct improvement and root cause investigation projects and present findings to the team and management.
  • Support apprentices and co-workers.
  • Balance workload and priorities to meet business needs.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met to protect individuals, team members, and the public.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area in line with 5S principles.

Requirements:

  • Candidates with electrical and mechanical backgrounds are preferred, with experience in both areas.
  • Full engineering indentured apprenticeship or equivalent qualification, or relevant job-related experience.
  • Ability to perform proactive maintenance and suggest improvements.
  • Thorough knowledge of maintenance processes, tools, and equipment, as well as familiarity with materials and quality objectives.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and schematic diagrams.

  • Boiler Management
  • 19th Electrical Edition Training
  • Forklift Truck Training
