Job Summary

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our client's team. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects, providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality structural engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage projects from feasibility to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, helping them to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Review and approve technical documents, designs, and drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other members of the design team to achieve a coordinated design solution that meets client objectives.
  • Carry out structural engineering assessments and inspections of new and existing properties in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
  • Undertake analysis and design using a range of software packages, including Tekla Structural Designer and FastTrack Building Designer.
  • Prepare high-quality technical reports, including structural surveys, and ensure the quality and consistency of technical output.

Requirements

  • Minimum of seven years' experience in the UK construction industry.
  • Chartered or near Chartered Engineer status.
  • Experience in all common forms of construction and building types.
  • Experience in the use of Eurocodes.
  • Excellent report writing, communication, and numerical skills.
  • Experience of structural analysis, design, and software essential.
