About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team at Finning International. As a key member of our field service department, you will be responsible for providing expert maintenance and repair services to our customers' heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with heavy machinery, utilizing specialized tools and equipment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements, applying knowledge to improve service delivery and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Apprentice-trained engineer or formally trained with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair, with a strong understanding of field-based diagnosis tools and equipment.
  • LDV driving license and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
