Job Overview

As a Senior Learning Support Assistant at MidKent College, you will play a pivotal role in managing a designated group of Learning Support Assistants. Your primary responsibility will be to support the Learning Support Coordinators in planning and timetabling class and one-to-one support for students with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Learning Support Coordinators to develop and implement effective support plans for students with additional needs.
  • Work closely with other support partners to ensure that EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans) and support arrangements are met.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students, promoting their social, emotional, and academic well-being.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team. You should also have a strong understanding of the needs of students with additional needs and be able to adapt your support strategies accordingly.
