About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Penwith Primary Care Network. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of medication optimization strategies to improve patient outcomes.
  • Work closely with clinical pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective and efficient use of medicines.
  • Conduct medication reviews and reconcile medications for patients, ensuring accuracy and safety.
  • Provide education and training to patients and healthcare professionals on medication use and management.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to identify and address medication-related issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the implementation of electronic prescribing systems and other digital tools to enhance medication management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize medication use and reduce waste.
Requirements
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is essential.
  • BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical sciences is required.
  • Experience working in a primary care setting or primary care network is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret prescribing data and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
