Restaurant Operations Manager

The German Doner Kebab team is seeking a skilled Restaurant Operations Manager to support the franchisee in ensuring the store runs efficiently and profitably. As a key member of the team, you will directly lead, coach, and inspire all team members to provide exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Action and implement business performance plans set by the Restaurant Manager
  • Monitor and control restaurant sales levels and profitability
  • Coordinate marketing activities, such as promotional events and discount schemes
  • Prepare and submit reports on staff control, food control, wastage, and sales
  • Develop and execute plans for departmental sales, profit, and staff development

Stock Control:

  • Order and requisition food and other supplies to ensure efficient operation
  • Coordinate stock deliveries and maintain accurate records
  • Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards

Training and Development:

  • Provide staff training and ongoing support to ensure staff are well-groomed and smart ready for work
  • Ensure storage areas are secure, neat, and clean at all times
  • Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and safety
  • Meet and greet customers, investigate and resolve customer queries and complaints
  • Train staff on fire and safety procedures and ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Fire regulations

Other Responsibilities:

  • Identify additional revenue opportunities
  • Prepare duty rosters and maintain cleanliness and hygiene procedures
  • Assist other staff where required and ensure wastage is kept to a minimum
  • Ability to work in a team, motivate others, and provide excellent customer service
  • Hold a basic Food Hygiene Certificate and conduct daily staff briefings
  • Monitor and record temperature of freezers and chillers
  • Arrange store maintenance and support the equal opportunities policy
