Senior Estimator - Tunnelling Services

Streamline Search is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team. As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for leading the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for complex underground construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for tunnelling and underground construction projects.
  • Analyse project specifications, drawings, and design documentation to fully understand scope and requirements.
  • Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and senior leadership to develop estimates that align with project goals and client expectations.
  • Manage and mentor junior estimators, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Source and evaluate costs for materials, equipment, and subcontractors specific to tunnelling and underground construction.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive tender documents and proposals, ensuring all risks and opportunities are fully considered.
  • Maintain and update a database of historical costs and pricing information to inform future estimates.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in estimating within the construction industry, specifically the Tunnelling and Trenchless industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading the estimating process for complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 PA (DOE)
Benefits: Company car or allowance, standard pension scheme, standard holiday entitlement.
