Overview:

STS Aviation Services is seeking a skilled B1 Mechanic to join our team on a contract basis. This role is crucial for supporting our expanding line station operations.

As a vital member of our team, the successful candidate will perform Line Maintenance tasks, ensuring that all Part 145 maintenance standards are met in accordance with established processes and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute and certify aircraft maintenance within the scope of company approvals.
  • Complete all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Utilize customer and company systems to procure necessary spare parts, manage paperwork for unserviceable components, and accurately document all maintenance activities with precise man-hour entries.
  • Provide support for urgent AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations.
  • Ensure timely and effective execution of required aircraft maintenance activities.
  • Address defects on incoming aircraft.
  • Welcome inbound aircraft and conduct debriefings with the crew.
  • Manage engineering dispatch for all aircraft as needed.
  • Perform assigned maintenance tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Uphold high standards of workmanship in all tasks.
  • Complete all necessary documentation.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, regulations, and Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE).
  • Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in Line Maintenance is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience as an aircraft mechanic is required.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and flexibility to accommodate changing requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • A valid UK Driving License is essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
