CNC Machinist Job Description

Major Recruitment Huddersfield is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join their team in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for machining billet steel into sprockets, which will be used in conveyor belts produced by the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Machining billet steel into sprockets
  • Programming and operating CNC machines
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and job routings
  • Setting up and programming turning operations
  • Working to timelines and multi-tasking in a busy environment
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience with Fanuc control systems
  • Ability to work with hard steel
  • Programming skills
  • Confidence in operating CNC machines
Benefits:
  • Hourly salary of £14-£15
  • Overtime paid at 1.33x or 1.5x
  • Every other Friday off with 3:45PM finish
  • Brand new facility

This is a full-time position with a working week of Monday to Friday, with working hours being Monday to Thursday 7:45AM to 4:45PM and Friday 7:45AM to 3:45PM. If you are a skilled CNC Machinist looking for a new challenge, please apply by submitting your CV.
