Are you ready to take on a new challenge in the gaming industry? We are looking for a skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our team at Wargaming, a leading publisher of free-to-play games.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Backend Engineer to design and build scalable and robust systems that enable and support our new game in Unreal Engine. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with game developers, DevOps engineers, and producers to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build scalable and robust systems that enable and support our game
  • Help develop deployment infrastructure
  • Collaborate with game developers, DevOps engineers, and producers to deliver high-quality solutions
Requirements
  • Kotlin proficiency, including familiarity with Spring Boot and/or its alternatives
  • Good understanding of RDBMS, NoSQL databases
  • Experience with test-driven development with a high level of quality
  • Experience of developing game backend architectures (state management, real-time player interactions, high load); systems that support matchmaking, leaderboards, and in-game economies etc
  • Strong communication skills in English
