Senior Backend Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our team at DPS Games. As a key member of our engineering team, you will design and build scalable and robust systems that enable and support our new free-to-play game in Unreal Engine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop microservice architectures to produce scalable, maintainable backend systems
  • Collaborate with game developers, DevOps engineers, and producers to ensure seamless integration and deployment
  • Lead and mentor junior colleagues to ensure knowledge sharing and growth
  • Analyze requirements and gather feedback from stakeholders to inform system design and development
Requirements
  • Hands-on experience with Kotlin, Spring Boot, and/or alternative frameworks
  • Strong understanding of RDBMS and NoSQL databases, as well as real-time communication protocols and message queues
  • Experience with test-driven development and high-quality code
  • Knowledge of game backend architectures, including state management, real-time player interactions, and high load systems
  • Excellent communication skills in English and ability to work independently
