About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engagement Coach to join our team. As an Engagement Coach, you will play a pivotal role in increasing participation and engagement among students in our Alternative Provision. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver support, mentoring, and coaching to students, using a range of activities and resources to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality engagement sessions to students
  • Support students who require additional one-to-one assistance
  • Work with the Lead to plan and deliver sessions, ensuring effective communication with staff, students, and stakeholders
  • Attend and engage in relevant staff meetings, maintaining effective communication and collaboration
  • Undertake training and CPD as necessary to maintain expertise and stay up-to-date with best practices
  • Ensure the safeguarding and protection of children in your care, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures

Requirements

  • DBS clearance (essential)
  • Coaching, mentoring, assessing, or teaching qualification
  • At least 3 years of experience working with 11-16-year-olds
  • Experience in delivering training and working in diverse education, community, and/or sports environments
  • Experience of working with young people who are hard to engage

What We Offer

  • A competitive hourly rate of £75-£85 per session
  • A 5-day working week, with 6 hours of work per day
  • Paid holiday entitlement, accrued and paid at the end of the fixed-term period
