TK Elevator is pleased to announce an opportunity for a Field Service and Installation Supervisor to oversee operations in the Warrington and South Yorkshire area.

Role Objective:

The primary aim of this position is to lead, train, and develop a team of stair lift engineers and apprentices, while providing essential technical support to both the engineering and administrative teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Embody and promote the company values: customer focus, appreciation, integrity, reliability, respect, and accountability.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental protocols in all personal and departmental activities.
  • Guide and mentor a team of engineers, offering support in their technical and professional growth.
  • Encourage a collaborative and efficient work atmosphere.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement strategies to boost productivity and effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and establish clear performance goals.
  • Provide assistance and support to colleagues through both remote and on-site communication.
  • Enhance the technical expertise and performance of all engineering staff, including team leaders and senior engineers, while also overseeing the training of apprentices to meet required engineering standards.
  • Develop a comprehensive training program for engineers to ensure proficiency in all lift models serviced, utilizing ongoing competitor training.
  • Ensure that the quality of work performed by engineers meets high standards through site audits and addressing any identified issues.
  • Promote teamwork and mutual respect among colleagues in the Warrington and Rotherham locations.
  • Monitor 'first time right' key performance indicators and address any challenges faced by engineers in meeting their objectives.
  • Maintain awareness of departmental KPIs and understand personal contributions to these metrics.
  • Conduct regular toolbox discussions.
  • Address customer complaints related to the engineering team.
  • Oversee warehouse and inventory management for both Warrington and Rotherham facilities.
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by the Service and Installations Manager.
  • Act as a key liaison with all site personnel, including line managers, production teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations, policies, and controls within the engineering team.
  • Strive for excellence in customer service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Proven knowledge of customer service principles and processes, including needs assessment and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing product training across various personnel levels.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of effective team management.
  • Working knowledge of stairlifts and platform lifts.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver results and demonstrate problem-solving capabilities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to daily changes and challenges.
  • Positive leadership and management attributes.
  • High level of IT proficiency, including accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
