Business Lecturer Job Description

Scholars School System, a national independent higher education provider, is seeking a Business Lecturer with HE experience to join our Manchester campus.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Business Lecturer to deliver high-quality education to our students. The ideal candidate will have a Master's in Business Management or a related subject, a teaching qualification, and UK teaching experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met. They will also be involved in staff development activities, peer observations, and developing, updating, and improving course materials.

The Business Lecturer will work closely with the Programme Manager, Deputy Academic Manager, and Academic Officers to achieve targets set and support students with their progression to learn. The role requires the ability to sustain change management and liaise with colleagues to maintain a positive workplace culture and good practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality education to students
  • Plan, deliver, and assess student work
  • Involve in staff development activities and peer observations
  • Develop, update, and improve course materials
  • Support students with their progression to learn

Requirements:

  • Master's in Business Management or a related subject
  • Teaching qualification or adequate teaching experience
  • UK teaching experience (minimum one-year experience)
  • Experience in HE Business courses
  • Enthusiasm for delivering a high-quality education experience

Benefits:

  • Basic hours are 9am to 6pm on site
  • Holiday entitlement is 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Up to £5k annual incentives pro-rata given quarterly on meeting KPIs upon successful probation period
  • 3% annual increase per year on completion from your start date of service and on meeting KPIs
