About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert care to patients with complex obstetric and gynaecological conditions, including fetal medicine and termination of pregnancy.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our Quality and Safety strategy, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes and experiences.
  • Participate in the expansion of our consultant team, supporting the growth of our specialist services and the development of our 'hot week' system.
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior staff, ensuring the continued development of our team's skills and expertise.
Service Provision

Our obstetric services are primarily based at Tunbridge Wells Hospital, with Birth Centres at Maidstone Hospital and Crowborough. We deliver over 6000 babies annually across our three units, with gynaecology inpatients and emergencies managed at Tunbridge Wells Hospital. We also offer an early pregnancy service and day-case services at Maidstone Hospital, with outpatient services available at both locations.
