Maintenance Operations Manager

About the Role
Frasers Group is a leading retail company that is changing the face of the industry. We are seeking an experienced Shift Automation Manager to join our team at our state-of-the-art Distribution Centre in Shirebrook.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide management and leadership to the Automation Team, directing them to minimize downtime and ensure uptime and availability of automated equipment.
- Support the operation by utilizing technical leadership and a commitment to service quality, taking a proactive approach to improving performance and reliability.
- Manage and coordinate the activities of the shift team through effective planning and organization.
- Train, coach, and mentor the shift team.
- Perform analysis of data sources to maintain and improve performance, maximizing efficiency of operation in line with KPIs.
- Champion safe working practices and carry out maintenance and servicing of automated equipment.
- Respond to automation faults and breakdowns in a timely manner, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Actively work to optimize automation performance and complete reports in line with requirements.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a leadership position within automation.
- Relevant engineering qualification.
- A continuous improvement mindset, always looking for ways to optimize automation operations.
- Strong communication skills, able to build relationships with technical and non-technical staff.
- An inspirational leader who can coach and mentor the team to success.
