Become a Vital Member of the CAMHS Team

As a Clinical Associate Specialist/Specialty Doctor at Elysium Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional clinical services within an eating disorder unit, guided by esteemed professionals in the field.

Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough clinical assessments, reviews, and evaluations for young patients under our care, ensuring compliance with all established treatment protocols. This full-time position entails a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, with a primary focus on physical health, nutrition, hydration, and risk management across the ward. You will work in close collaboration with the Consultant, ward manager, and the multidisciplinary team (MDT).

In this role, you will engage with Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists and contribute significantly to the wider MDT. The team conducts regular daily and weekly meetings to ensure comprehensive care and treatment planning. Administrative support is readily available to facilitate your work.

Working alongside a complete multidisciplinary team offers exceptional learning opportunities, and you will have the chance to participate in engaging forums for both service users and staff.

Key Responsibilities of the Clinical Associate Specialist include:

  • Conducting clinical assessments, formulating treatment plans, and delivering care to young individuals with eating disorders in CAMHS.
  • Providing detailed handovers to colleagues, including during on-call responsibilities.
  • Collecting collateral history from other professionals and family members.
  • Timely completion of discharge letters, reports, and necessary documentation.
  • Depending on your experience, preparing reports for hearings under Consultant supervision.
  • Delivering high-quality treatment in accordance with the Consultant Psychiatrist's guidance.
  • Assessing referrals and performing mental state examinations of service users.
