About the Role
Elysium Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist to join our team at Rhodes Wood Hospital. As an Associate Specialist/Specialty Doctor, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality clinical services across our eating disorder service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical assessment, review, and evaluation to young people under our care and treatment, ensuring that all treatment plans are fully adhered to.
- Work closely with Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists, as well as the wider multidisciplinary team, to ensure seamless care and treatment.
- Participate in regular multi-disciplinary team meetings to plan and coordinate care.
- Conduct clinical assessments, formulations, and treatments for young people with eating disorders.
- Ensure adequate handovers to colleagues, including out-of-hours when on call.
- Seek collateral history from other professionals and family members.
- Complete discharge letters, reports, and forms in a timely manner.
- Provide high-quality treatment under the direction of a Consultant Psychiatrist.
- Assess referrals and undertake mental state examinations of service users.
Requirements
- Full GMC registration.
- Experience working in psychiatry within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists (desirable).
- Recent appraisal.
- At least 3 years' experience in Psychiatry (desirable).
- Experience working as a doctor within a similar environment.
- Section approval (desirable).
