About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer or Buyer to join our Footwear department at Footasylum. As a key member of our buying team, you will have the opportunity to impact buying opportunities across our stores, websites, and contribute to the growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with our existing supplier base, while identifying new opportunities
  • Attend industry meetings to stay ahead of emerging trends and consumer demands
  • Manage brand relationships with confidence and expertise
  • Communicate effectively with our supplier base, identifying and resolving any issues
  • Collaborate with our wider buying teams to understand our department's goals and objectives
  • Ensure excellent communication and interaction with other departments within the business
  • Support and coach our Buying Admin Assistants and interns
  • Provide category reporting and Planner creation
  • Contribute to our category buying strategy, informing consumer-centric decision making
  • Take ownership and accountability for your stable of brands, including file management, order books, pricing, and distribution
  • Research and initiate new business opportunities
  • Participate in trade and strategy meetings, sharing your observations and insights
  • Research and present brand, product group, and tribe performance for internal insights
  • Raise purchase orders and manage our product sourcing
  • Conduct research trips to our stores, competitors, and relevant events to provide key information on new trends
  • Provide support to our other Buyers and Senior Buyers as needed
