Key Responsibilities:

* Assist the Environmental Health Manager in providing a regulatory service and carrying out statutory duties
* Investigate complaints relating to commercial premises
* Collect evidence associated with contraventions for use in court proceedings
* Oversee works being conducted as a result of legal action
* Administer various schemes within commercial premises
* Undertake any duties assigned by the Principal Environmental Health Officer/Environmental Health and Licensing Manager
* Carry out research, monitoring, and provision of information and statistics as required

Requirements:

* Hold a BSc/Diploma in Environmental Health and EHRB Certificate of Registration
* Have solid experience of producing clear and accurate reports, including problem-solving solutions
* Good level of experience of dealing with complaints/enquiries from members of the public
* Hold a full driving licence
* Be able to work independently or as part of a team
* Have experience working within Environmental Health Services or the work covered by the post, e.g. noise/pollution/contaminated land
* Have a good understanding of PACE, CPIA, RIPA, and other Acts associated with investigations
* Be prepared to work out of hours on a monthly basis

This is a temporary role, working Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
