Are you passionate about ensuring software reliability and performance?
As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Cambridge Intelligence, you will be an integral part of the platform team, engaging with various products from their initial stages and guaranteeing top-notch quality throughout the development process. Your enthusiasm for the devops landscape will drive your learning and growth in this area.
Key Responsibilities:
This role emphasizes collaboration, focusing on upholding and enhancing the exceptional quality of our product suite. You will work closely with the entire development team to implement improvements and instill quality within the product. By partnering with Platform Engineers, you will pinpoint high-risk areas in each release or feature and modify test plans as necessary, ensuring effective testing of innovative features where the interface may not be straightforward.
This is a full-time, permanent role with a hybrid working model.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will possess substantial manual testing experience within agile frameworks. Familiarity with exploratory testing, defining acceptance criteria, and strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills are essential. Ideally, you will have some exposure to platform-specific practices, such as managing and observing CI/CD pipelines, deploying code from branch clusters, and creating mock paths and pipelines. A foundational understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript is highly advantageous.
Additional Skills:
- Experience in testing web applications and/or SDKs
- Background in data visualization or software development
- Performance testing expertise
- Basic knowledge of AWS and Pulumi
Team Collaboration:
You will collaborate with four development teams, each consisting of JavaScript/TypeScript developers, technical writers, test engineers, and a development manager.
Professional Development Opportunities:
We prioritize your growth by providing funded professional development time, allowing up to five days for learning new skills through conferences, training programs, or related courses.
Commitment to Inclusion:
We strive to cultivate a fair, respectful, and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued. Our long-term commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion is reflected in all aspects of our business, including recruitment.
Employee Benefits:
Our benefits package includes hybrid working arrangements, a pension plan, medical and dental insurance, a discretionary bonus, generous holiday allowances, professional development funding, death in service benefits, flexible holiday options, a fully funded cycle scheme, and an EV scheme (conditions apply).
