Role Overview:
As a Senior European Logistics Coordinator, you will lead our European road and multimodal operations, focusing on operational efficiency, ensuring client satisfaction, and aiding in the commercial success of our offerings.
Applicants should possess a minimum of five years of experience in the industry, demonstrating a solid understanding of freight operations, cost assessments, and customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relations:
Proactively advocate for Uniserve's European services to both potential and current clients, ensuring their requirements are fulfilled with exceptional service quality.
Operational Oversight:
Utilize One World as the primary operating system to oversee and track all shipments, guaranteeing precise and timely data entry into the platform.
Freight Management:
Organize and manage groupage, part load, and full load trailers for imports and exports, collaborating with international partners and suppliers to facilitate transportation.
Customs Compliance:
Prepare and supervise the submission of customs documentation, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
Financial Management:
Ensure all files are accurately costed, billed, and finalized, with timely invoicing and precise allocation of all anticipated expenses.
Reporting & Insights:
Track and report on new and lost clients weekly, providing valuable insights to supervisors and management.
Essential Qualifications:
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years in European road freight operations, with expertise in cost management and a thorough understanding of freight terminology.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong ability to calculate cube, loading meters, and chargeable weight, along with a foundational knowledge of customs processes.
Commercial Insight:
Proven capability to comprehend accounting procedures and demonstrate commercial awareness to enhance profitability.
Communication Skills:
Exceptional negotiation and communication abilities, with the capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Organizational Skills:
Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills to effectively manage multiple responsibilities.
