We are seeking a highly skilled SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at an outstanding London Secondary School. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with qualified professionals, Specialist Teachers, and Educational Psychologists to provide exceptional support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- Support small groups of students and provide one-to-one assistance
- Work collaboratively with the teaching team to develop and implement effective strategies to support students with SEMH needs
- Provide emotional support and comfort to students with anxiety and/or depression
- Contribute to the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Minimum of a 2.1 Psychology-related degree from a top 20 UK University
- Experience working with children with SEMH needs is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- A competitive salary of £500-£550 per week
- Paid weekly on a PAYE basis
- In-house training and external LSA and ASC training opportunities
- A supportive and collaborative work environment
