Transport Planner

Mulgrew Haulage Limited is seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team at our Head Office in Dromore. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for planning customers' collections and deliveries in the most cost-effective and efficient manner while maximizing vehicle utilization.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan routes to maximize vehicle utilization
- Maintain customer KPI reports
- Issue drivers with clear instructions
- Monitor drivers' hours to ensure compliance with legislation
- Ensure all drivers brief and de-brief completed daily
- Maintain live Traffic Management System
- Monitor Vehicle movements to reduce and report delays
- Assist Customer Services team to manage customer queries and keep them informed and updated of all changes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
- Book and check off shipping
- Previous experience in road haulage or transport planning is essential (2 years)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Positive and customer-focused individual
- Excellent communication skills to interact with various stakeholders
- Self-motivated team player with strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform in a dynamic and pressurized environment
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK and Ireland
