Transportation Coordinator

Spencer - Richardson is seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join their team in a market-leading construction and plant hire firm.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective transportation plans to ensure efficient distribution of plant machinery.
- Manage driver holidays and absence, ensuring seamless operations.
- Collaborate with the Head of Transport, Depot Manager, and Transport Manager to raise orders and optimize logistics.
- Support vehicle inspections and compliance events, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance standards.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and identify areas for cost savings.
- Provide weekly timesheets to payroll and manage HS2 site bookings.
- Maintain open communication with customers, updating them on arrivals and addressing queries.
Requirements:
- A team player with a strong drive to succeed.
- Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
- Ability to build relationships with various stakeholders, including customers and colleagues.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of plant machinery and a willingness to learn.
- High standards of professionalism and a commitment to excellence.
