About the Role

BCL Legal is seeking a dedicated and experienced Housing Disrepair Solicitor to join their team as a Claims Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage a caseload of Housing Disrepair Pre Lit/Litigated cases, ensuring compliance with the Housing Disrepair pre-action protocol.
  2. Assess liability and draft court documentation, including Part 7 CPR proceedings.
  3. Collaborate with clients to gather information and evidence, including reviewing RIC's reports and medical records.
  4. Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes in a timely and efficient manner.
  5. Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with company guidelines.
  6. Work effectively with the team to achieve business objectives and deliver high-quality results.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with experience handling a caseload of housing disrepair files.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
