About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Bay View Childcare. As a key member of our Residential Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people aged 8-18 with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide a safe, secure, and homely environment for the children and young adults in the home.
  • To support the development of individual care plans and contribute to the implementation of these plans.
  • To work collaboratively with the Residential Team to ensure the highest possible standard of childcare is provided.
  • To engage with the children and young adults in activities that promote their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • To maintain accurate records and reports as required.

Requirements

  • A Diploma Level 3 in Working with Children & Young People or Level 4 Children, Young People and Families practitioner Apprenticeship.
  • A full UK driving license.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues, children, and families.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
