We are seeking a skilled Category Manager to oversee all sourcing initiatives within a designated area of expenditure. The Category Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders in their essential business role to identify needs from both new and existing suppliers through contract renewals, modifications, and comprehensive competitive processes utilizing our procurement systems. This role requires a self-sufficient individual to build their project pipeline, determine optimal market strategies, and ensure alignment with the TalkTalk Group's strategic objectives.
Team Dynamics
The TalkTalk Procurement team is a vibrant and integral unit responsible for managing third-party expenditures across all Business Units. Our small yet agile team is organized by key categories of both direct and indirect spending, often uncovering significant opportunities through collaborative efforts. We engage closely with the business to concentrate on priorities that yield the greatest value, addressing immediate needs while also executing a broader strategy to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all procurement initiatives within the assigned category.
- Conduct thorough reviews of spending and budget allocations.
- Plan and maintain a pipeline for all sourcing requirements.
- Utilize and oversee procurement engagement tools, contract databases, and sourcing platforms relevant to the category.
- Implement category management principles while prioritizing effectively.
