About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our team at Vistry Devon South West. As a key member of our site management team, you will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager and Site Manager in the day-to-day control of the site, management and delivery of project works, and the day-to-day management and delivery of a larger-scale housing project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager and Site Manager in the day-to-day control of the site, management and delivery of project works.
  • Manage and deliver project works, ensuring timely completion and quality standards are met.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and customers.
  • Monitor and control site costs, ensuring budgetary targets are met.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, site procedures, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the project surveyor to identify and mitigate commercial risks.
  • Develop and implement site-specific plans to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager and Site Manager.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.

Requirements

  • SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, Scaffold inspection qualification.
  • Proven experience in site management, construction, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
