The Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimation Manager to lead our electrical estimation function and drive sustainable growth and brand reputation. As a key contact for the wider commercial team, you will ensure the quotation process supports the business strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the estimation team, allocating workloads and maintaining committed deadlines.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and opportunities for professional development.
  • Support the team through effective line management, including 1-2-1s and appraisals.
  • Drive performance and cost-effectiveness, monitoring KPIs in alignment with business-wide objectives.
  • Manage internal team processes, including quotation process and data entry on business systems.
  • Prepare basic and detailed tenders, COMA/maintenance contracts, and sales contracts.
  • Manage the approval process of quotes up to £200k and decide on quote/no-quote process.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships with internal and external clients and suppliers.
  • Experience in delivering results through strong leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Establishing key aspects associated with client requirements, providing quotations, and liaising with internal departments.
  • Working business systems to follow company processes and maintain data integrity.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Full UK driving license (Maximum of 3 points).
  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field.
  • Strong market knowledge and experience within the electrical distribution sector (HV and LV).
  • Experience of tendering for O&M contracts and private networks.
  • Establishing strategic and operational partnerships.
  • Handling complex and sensitive business/commercial information, both internally and externally, in confidence.
  • Project management and process improvement experience.
