RINA is seeking a skilled Senior Environmental Safety Consultant with 3-10 years of relevant experience to join our dedicated Safety Environmental team. This role involves managing environmental projects for various sectors, ensuring compliance and robust environmental practices in complex environments.

The position offers flexibility in work location, with options for smart and hybrid working arrangements, allowing for a balance between office and remote work.

The Environmental team is engaged in a diverse range of projects, contributing to some of the most advanced programs in the UK Defence sector, including various military platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple Environmental and Sustainability initiatives, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery of requirements;
  • Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments and Assurance projects in line with project specifications;
  • Collaborate with Safety Engineering teams to integrate Environmental considerations into joint projects;
  • Assist in proposal development, analysis, and report generation;
  • Provide management with performance reports on productivity and other project-specific metrics;
  • Enhance the capabilities of the Environmental Safety team to address emerging market needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3-10 years of experience in managing Environmental Impact policies for government programs;
  • A degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field is preferred;
  • Familiarity with Defence Standards and processes is advantageous;
  • Understanding of ISO14000 series and Environmental Management practices is beneficial;
  • Knowledge of UK MOD platforms and procurement processes is a plus;
  • Must be a British citizen or possess UK Security Clearance.
