Key Responsibilities:

As a Sewer Operations Technician within our Water Recycling Services, you will play a crucial role in protecting the environment and public health while maintaining essential infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Addressing issues within our network, such as blockages, odors, flooding, and other incidents.
  • Delivering high levels of service to our customers while complying with environmental regulations.
  • Participating in our standby roster for additional out-of-hours work to ensure continuous service delivery.
  • Upholding health and safety protocols at all times.

Your Duties Will Include:

  • Operating a high-pressure water jetting unit and specific CCTV equipment to identify and promote necessary repairs within our sewer network.
  • Taking ownership of investigating and resolving sewerage issues reported by customers.
  • Responding to incidents and completing scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Accurately documenting all site feedback through our IT systems.
  • Primarily working independently while engaging with both internal and external customers daily.

Required Qualifications:

  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Basic IT proficiency.
  • Ability to work autonomously and use initiative.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Valid driving license; a 4.5-tonne license is advantageous (training provided if necessary).

In this role, you must be capable of working in confined spaces and at heights without restrictions. Due to harness weight limits, candidates must not exceed 113 kilograms and will be required to complete relevant occupational health assessments, including Hand-arm Vibration (HAV) checks.
