Role Overview

As part of our central operations, you will engage in underwriting existing business for our commercial policies. This position offers extensive development opportunities, exposure to our advanced underwriting platform, and a clear pathway to advance into a senior underwriter position.

Key Responsibilities:

Underwrite commercial products adhering to our high standards Meet monthly targets related to profitability, conversion rates, and productivity Enhance your sales acumen and understanding of underwriting strategies in collaboration with various teams Negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including designated contacts within brokerages Challenge non-standard underwriting decisions by leveraging the expertise of product specialists and underwriting managers Demonstrate innovation by identifying process improvements to enhance customer experience and drive profitable growth

Essential Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years' experience as a commercial lines underwriter, with knowledge of Professional Indemnity; familiarity with Management Liability and Cyber is a plus Strong analytical and logical thinking skills Excellent communication abilities, capable of articulating thoughts clearly Natural talent for relationship building, fostering strong connections with brokers A commitment to excellence, demonstrating dedication and a proactive approach in a dynamic business environment Ambitious and self-motivated, with a track record of achieving results Ideally degree-qualified and pursuing Diploma CII or exempt through relevant experience as defined by regulatory standards
