Job Description:
Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Construction Buyer to join our team at Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring a wide range of materials for various construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Source and procure materials for construction projects, including joinery and internal materials.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing suppliers, identifying opportunities for cost savings and improved service.
- Negotiate favourable pricing and terms with new suppliers, including rebates and discounts.
- Manage the supply chain to ensure timely and efficient deliveries to construction sites.
- Collaborate with project teams to schedule deliveries in line with project timelines.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and assess material needs.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a construction purchasing or procurement role.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Proficient in IT and procurement software.
- Live within a commutable distance of Borehamwood.
- Demonstrates stability in previous roles and a desire for long-term career growth.
