Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join our team at FedEx. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing service and repair of company fleet in line with planned maintenance schedules to ensure our vehicles and trailers are safe, legal and fit for duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing service and repair of company fleet in line with planned maintenance schedules
  • Completing signed service and inspection records
  • Completing defect reports and associated paperwork to comply with legal requirements
  • Preparing vehicles and trailers for annual MOT testing to ensure first time pass
  • Performing ad-hoc vehicle repairs, investigating and rectifying vehicle defects
Requirements
  • Applicable licenses, e.g., LGV C&E license (class one)
  • Knowledge of the use and operation of all automotive equipment and testing / troubleshooting equipment
  • Ability to lift and manoeuvre Heavy Vehicle Components
  • Experience with welding and basic D.C. electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Valid driving license
