Job Details

This role involves supporting students with special educational needs in a secondary school setting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with children, preferably in an SEND environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting students with SEND in a secondary school setting
  • Working with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Providing one-to-one support to students with SEND
  • Assisting with lesson planning and preparation
  • Communicating with parents and carers to ensure effective support for students

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with children, preferably in an SEND setting
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are desirable but not essential
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Two professional child-related references
