Job Description

YASA, a leading innovator in electric motor technology, is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Test & Validation department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in planning, forecasting, and scheduling all testing activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with Lead T&V Engineers to develop and manage test plans, ensuring timely and efficient execution of testing activities.
  • Rig Scheduling and Conflict Resolution: Review and manage test rig scheduling, resolving conflicts and ensuring seamless test execution.
  • Validation Planning and Costing: Assist in the production of validation plans and costing, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of test results.
  • Gateway Management: Conduct gateway management of the Test & Validation test process, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Change Request Management: Own the change request process within the Test & Validation team, ensuring timely and effective implementation of changes.
  • Test Case Tracking and Coordination: Assist with coordination of purchasing/procurement/BOM management/requirements coverage and test case tracking for various DV phases.
  • Test House Logistics and Supplier Management: Manage external test house logistics and coordinate new test supplier selection/research, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Supplier Audits and Accreditation: Coordinate supplier audits with UKAS accreditation tracking, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Education: Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Experience: Experience as a Project Engineer in automotive or in a Project Support role.
  • Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of dynamometers and laboratory equipment and/or motor testing, MCUs, or other powertrain systems.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in project management tools, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), good collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively across teams.
