Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team at Forest of Galtres Anglican Methodist Primary School. As a key member of our early years team, you will provide 1:1 support to a pupil with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and work collaboratively with teachers and key workers to support the learning and development of groups of children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with SEND, developing a tailored support plan to meet their individual needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers and key workers to support the learning and development of groups of children, including planning and delivering activities within the early years framework
- Support the implementation of the school's SEND policy and procedures, ensuring that all pupils receive a high-quality education
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect
- Contribute to the development of the early years team, sharing best practices and expertise to improve outcomes for all pupils
Requirements:
- GCSEs or equivalent in English and maths
- Experience of working with children with SEND, preferably in an early years setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the needs of the school and its pupils
- Commitment to the school's values and ethos, with a passion for delivering high-quality education and care to all pupils
