Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our North east team, working on a range of industry leading infrastructure projects. As a Senior Cost Manager, you will be responsible for administering contracts, providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting, and collaborating with client and contractor teams to manage project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing strong relationships with clients, colleagues and other parties involved in the projects and programmes we support.
  • Managing contract change effectively, ensuring that projects remain within governance and adopt best practice.
  • Driving improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets.
  • Providing sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders.
  • Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience or a sound and suitable understanding of contract management, cost management, change management and control, valuation, procurement, reporting, and collaborative approach.
  • Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management and value engineering.
  • Ideal qualifications include a degree in a relevant subject and professional body membership or equivalent.
