About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior or Principal Town Planner to join our dynamic Planning Consultancy team at Beach Baker. In this role, you will provide commercial planning advice to a diverse range of private and public sector clients, guiding development proposals through all planning stages.

You will work on an array of projects including city centre regeneration, high-density housing, retail development, sports and leisure facilities, and more. You will have the opportunity to work across a broad project portfolio, engaging in critical thinking, project management, and negotiation.

Our Planning team is involved in some of the region's largest and most high-profile schemes, partnering with developers, landowners, home builders, financial institutions, and other key players. We value flexibility, offering a working from home policy of 2/3 days per week.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive team player with experience in private sector consultancy or local authority. You will have strong communication skills, a passion for sharing knowledge, and a drive to learn and contribute to the team's ongoing success.

You will have a solid understanding of the planning process, including applications, policy frameworks, and appeals. The ability to engage in critical thinking, project management, and negotiation will be essential.

Qualifications
  • MRTPI - Although those close to Achieving APC will be considered.
  • Degree in Town Planning or related field.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Experience in private sector consultancy is advantageous, but not required.
