Role Overview: As a Construction Estimator, your primary responsibility will be to create precise and detailed cost estimates for a range of refurbishment initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing project plans and specifications to develop thorough cost estimates.
  • Conducting site visits to collect information and evaluate the scope of work.
  • Working closely with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to secure accurate pricing.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and contractors.
  • Preparing and delivering estimates to clients and stakeholders.
  • Tracking project costs to ensure they align with estimates.
  • Modifying estimates as needed to accommodate changes in project scope or conditions.
  • Keeping detailed records of all estimates and associated documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Construction Estimator, ideally within the healthcare sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of refurbishment projects, particularly in healthcare settings.
  • Experience in estimating costs for various facilities such as kitchens, bathrooms, and communal areas.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Capability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
