Job Description

**Job Title:** Field Engineer - Mobile Wireless Specialist

**Job Summary:** First Point Group is seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer to join our team. As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out reactive and proactive maintenance on multi-customer, multi-technology networks, achieving agreed performance targets.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Carry out installation, commissioning, integration, and maintenance/fault-finding activities across multi-customer, multi-technology mobile wireless networks, achieving agreed performance targets.
  • Work individually, as part of the field service team, and wider organisational teams to achieve right first-time resolution of work within customer SLA's without compromising safe working practices.
  • Carry out field-related installation, commissioning, and integration activities associated with agreed project work.
  • Assist in the development and review of processes and procedures to maximize efficiency.
  • Participate in a 24 x 7 callout rota covering all equipment in the Service Area.
  • Keep diligent records and accurately update both internal teams and Customer systems where necessary.
  • Undertake personal development to maximize effectiveness.

**Requirements:**

  • Experience of installation, commissioning, integration, and maintenance/fault-finding activity on the Ericsson RBS 3000 product family.
  • Experience of installation, commissioning, integration, and maintenance/fault-finding activity on the Ericsson RBS 6000 product family.
  • Experience of installation, commissioning, integration, and maintenance/fault-finding activity on the Nokia Flexi product family.
  • Experience of installation, commissioning, integration, and maintenance/fault-finding activity on the Huawei RBS 3G product family.
  • Experience of installation, commissioning, integration, and maintenance/fault-finding activity on the Huawei RNC product family.
  • Experience of installation, commissioning, integration, and maintenance/fault-finding activity on the Ericsson RNC product family.
  • Experience of installation, commissioning, integration, and maintenance/fault-finding activity on the P-Com, Nokia, NEC, DMC, Siae, Ericsson Microwave product families.

**Working Conditions:**

  • Flexibility in approach to working hours will be required due to both spikes in workload and operational requirement to support reactive and planned work requests out of core shift hours.
  • Deemed fit to work at height (WAH).
