About the Role

We are seeking a friendly and approachable individual to join our Meet and Greet team at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. As a Meet and Greet Volunteer, you will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff, providing a warm and welcoming experience.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional and friendly greeting to all patients, visitors, and staff
  • Assist patients and visitors with directions and information about hospital facilities
  • Escort patients and visitors to wards and departments
  • Provide wheelchair assistance and support patients with mobility issues
  • Support patients with additional challenges, such as sensory or physical impairment
  • Assist patients with self-check-in machines and car park machines
  • Treat all information received with the strictest of confidentiality

Requirements

  • Good communication skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Good listener and ability to be on their feet for most of the shift
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service
