About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Category Buyer to join a dynamic team and drive growth in the bagged snack and confectionery category.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement profitable new range strategies for upcoming seasons, leveraging data and market trends.
  • Lead the development of innovative range plans, focusing on branded and NPD opportunities.
  • Manage the P&L of the category, including revenue, sales, margin, and promotional income.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive category growth and profitability.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activity.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, including 1 BAA or AB level.
  • Utilize data and market insights to generate new ideas and drive year-on-year sales growth.
  • Manage product performance within budget and optimize category plans.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in buying, preferably in the food/FMCG or fast-moving category.
  • Proven track record of buying branded product ranges, with a strong understanding of market trends and customer needs.
  • Desirable experience in food, health, and beauty, household, snacking, gifting food, impulse, seasonal, biscuits, or confectionery.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a head for figures and data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience in highly promotional categories and ability to lead innovative range marketing plans.
What We Offer
  • Salary: £45,000 - £51,000
