About the Role
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team at Tesco. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our store, ensuring that our customers receive an exceptional shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the team to deliver a clean, well-stocked store that exceeds customer expectations.
- Provide excellent customer service, listening to customers and helping to resolve any issues.
- Take ownership of running duty shifts, ensuring that the store is operating efficiently and effectively.
- Coach and develop your colleagues, providing feedback and guidance to help them improve their performance.
- Maintain a great understanding of how your store is performing, and assist managers in delivering any actions that help improve the running of the store.
- Lead by example, setting a high standard for your colleagues and demonstrating a commitment to excellence.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in a retail or customer-facing environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
