SEMHA Teaching Assistant Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMHA Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a SEMHA Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with SEMHA needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, educational psychologists, and other professionals to develop and implement support plans
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery to ensure students receive a tailored education
  • Support students with challenging behaviors and develop strategies to promote positive behavior

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with SEMHA needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • DBS clearance and right to work in the UK
