About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Red Kite School, part of Acorn Education. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and emotional needs of our pupils with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in preparing learning materials and running classroom activities
  • Assist with the emotional and physical needs of pupils, promoting their development and engagement
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Provide a safe and supportive learning environment, encouraging pupils to reach their full potential
Requirements
  • GCSE C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience working with SEN and in a school setting
  • Adaptability and a willingness to work in a variety of classroom roles
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £19,233.75 per annum, dependent on experience
  • A 37.5 hour working week, Monday to Friday
  • A permanent, term-time only contract
